SSG Willie Edward Mosley was born on January 13, 1941, to the late Mr. Charlie Thomas (CT) and Mrs. Celia Mosley of Swainsboro, Georgia. Mr. Willie entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 4, 2025, following a brief illness. He was educated in the Emanuel County School System and following graduation, he enlisted in the Army and served several years. He relocated to New Jersey where he met and married the late Mrs. Mable Mosley. Mr. Willie was employed as a painter and worked with the painter’s union for several years.
He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He ensured that his family was provided for and happy.
SSG Mosley was preceded in death by: three brothers, two sisters, and one sister-in-law.
He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Terri Smith of Swainsboro, Georgia; one son, Alton (Antoinette) Mosley of Orlando, Florida; one sister, Beauteen (Saul) Walls of Union, New Jersey; three brothers, Hernon (Crystal) Mosley of the state of Washington, Alven Wade Mosley of Swainsboro, Georgia, and Jerome (Cynthia) Mosley of West Orange, New Jersey; two granddaughters, Yomenica Smith and Saboria Parker both of Milledgeville, Georgia; two grandsons, Javious Smith of Swainsboro, Georgia, and Ja’Saun Mosley of Pensacola, Florida; two great-grandchildren; a very special friend, Hattie Parker of Swainsboro, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
