Jean, as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was born October 7, 1953, to the late Tealang Lloyd, Sr. and Iomia Harmon Lloyd. She entered into eternal rest of Tuesday, May 11, 2021, following a brief illness.
Jean was a native of Swainsboro, Georgia, where she attended the public schools of Emanuel County. After leaving Swainsboro, she spent most of her adult life in the New Jersey area. After relocating back to Swainsboro, she reunited with the Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her biological parents, her son, Tealang Lloyd, III, her second mom, Elmer Seabrough-Lloyd, a brother, Tealang Lloyd, Jr., and a sister, Debra Ann Lloyd, preceded Jean in death.
Jean will be missed by everyone who knew her. Her love for cooking was a blessing to many. On Sundays, she would cook and not only feed her family, but there were others in her circle of friends that she would feed as well.
Jean leaves to cherish her memories: four daughters, Crystal Cato of Park Forest, IL, Tamyra Lloyd-Griffin of Clarksville, TN, Sharon Huston and Ida (Rufus) Davis, both of Swainsboro, GA; a daughter-in-law, Tina Morrison-Lloyd of Philadelphia, PA; five sisters, Myra (James) Gooden of College Park, GA, Vernell King, Delane Washington, and Wyomia Brown, all of Swainsboro, GA, and Cheryl (Carlton) Boston of Lawrenceville, GA; five brothers, Bobby Lloyd, Alvin Lloyd, Calvin Lloyd, and Tommy Lloyd, all of Swainsboro, GA, and Willie James (Noba) Lloyd of Snellville, GA; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren; one aunt, Doris (Joe) Davis of Swainsboro, GA; two uncles, C. W. Harmon of Swainsboro, GA, and Eddie (Ola Mae) Harmon of Chicago, IL; a host of other relatives and friends.
