Walter Newton Jr., Passed away on Thursday April 16th 2026, at his residence, in Swainsboro, Georgia. He was born on June 21, 1959, in Millen, Georgia, to Susie Lemore and John Walter Newton.
Walter worked as a truck driver, and was known for his dedication to the U.S. Army and National Guard (Retired Veteran), serving 24 years of service. He enjoyed driving big trucks, working in the yard, and spending time with his wife, and family. Those who knew Walter will always remember his practical wisdom and one of his favorite sayings: "Always save you some money." This is a refection of his hardworking nature and the values he carried throughout his life.
Walter is survived by his wife, Angelea Newton; Children; Amanda S. Newton (Tommy), Tushun D. Newton (Jill), Walter D. Newton (Jody), Aquido D. Newton (Rashari),
Allen D. Newton (Shauntrice), Nichole Y. Howard (Derrick), Jeremy K. Howard, and Durrell Redding (Amber); 30 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 3 angles. He is also survived by his siblings: Willie Newton of Atlanta, Ga; Tommy Lee Newton of Tennessee; Gussie Newton of Swainsboro, Ga; and Perry Newton of Swainsboro, Ga.
