Ruthie M. (Kirkland) Adams

Mrs. Ruthie Mae Adams of Summertown, Georgia, passed away on June 8, 2024, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia, at 84 years old. Ruthie was born on January 27, 1940, in Midville, Georgia, to the late Mr. William and Mrs. Eunice Louise Kirkland.

Ruthie was preceded in death by: her husband, Mr. Pomp Adams; one son, Larry Adams; son-in-law, Lewis Earl Williams; sister, Jessie Pasley; and one brother, Sammie Lee Kirkland.

She is survived by: seven children, Cynthia Williams of Jesup, Georgia, Lue (Ricky) Tarver of Wadley, Georgia, Mae Lois Adams of Summertown, Georgia, Rickey (Cynthia) Adams of Summertown, Georgia, Ruthetta Dilliard of Midville, Georgia, Sabrina (Jerry) Fann of Midville, Georgia, and Tyrone (Latriece) Adams of Augusta, Georgia; five sisters, Dorothy Smith of Summertown, Georgia, Willia Mae Jones of Alexandria, Virginia, Betty Gean Barber of Woodbridge, Virginia, Claudia Mae Badie of Alexandria, Virginia, and Georgia Haynes of Alexandria, Virginia; one brother, Robert Haynes of Alexandria, Virginia; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews other relatives, and friends.
