Richard Larson Madison, age 80, of Swainsboro, Georgia, departed this life on July 12, 2024, at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. He was born on February 22, 1944, to the late Mr. John Madison, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Walker Madison.
Richard attended the public school system. He was always a hard worker and was skilled in many areas. He worked on farms, roofing, sawmill company, phone company in Washington, D.C., and performed other services in the community for many years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Mr. John Madison, Sr.; mother, Mrs. Mary Walker Madison; brothers, Joe Louis Brown, Benjamin Madison, Robert Madison, Louis Madison, Sr., Willie Madison, and Jessie Madison; sisters, Dorothy Madison and Ellen Cooper.
Mr. Madison leaves to cherish his memories: his brothers, Joe Louis Madison of Tampa, Florida, John Madison, Jr. of Swainsboro, Georgia, Jimmie Madison of Savannah, Georgia, and Willie (Sonny) Henry Madison of Newport News, Virginia; sister, Mercie Madison of Swainsboro, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
