Melissa Frazier was born on January 5, 1975, in Swainsboro, GA to the late Charlie Durden and Isa Mae Frazier. She was the second child out of her siblings. On November 20, 2025, she succumbed to her injuries from a sudden and tragic incident, leaving her family and friends, both speechless and heartbroken. She was 50 years old.
She resided in Swainsboro, Georgia where she attended public schools. Melissa is a graduate of the best class that ever came through Swainsboro High School, and that was the class of 1994.
She had a natural gift to make you laugh. She was also kind, quiet, and free-hearted. Affectionately known as “Foxy Brown”, she embraced her life, enjoyed it to the fullest and loved the people who were in it. Melissa had a deep passion for cooking Sunday meals EVERY SUNDAY!
Melissa gave birth to her only child, a daughter named Elizabeth Brianna Frazier. Her daughter was indeed her world. She became a grandmother of two, Willie Jr. and Favour Robriaan and they became her pride and joy. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter and grandchildren, traveling back and forth to McDonough, Georgia over the years. Melissa also loved her siblings with all her heart. She was a member Trinity Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Durden, mother Isa Mae Frazier and a sister, Sandra Frazier. She is survived by and leaves precious memories to her daughter, Elizabeth Frazier grandchildren, Willie Archie, Jr. and Favour Parrish of McDonough, Georgia. One Brother, Calvin Frazier of Swainsboro, Ga; Two Sisters: Janice Brown-Jackson of Augusta, Ga., and Lashaunda Frazier of Swainsboro, GA. One Aunt: Isabelle Frazier of Swainsboro, Ga., and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
