Mosley's Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Martha Street, 89, of Swainsboro, GA on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Savannah Memorial Health, following an lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Swainsboro City Cemetery with words of comfort by Pastor Charley Mae Thomas.
Mrs. Martha Street was a native of Johnson County, before moving to Emanuel County. She worked at the Emanuel County Hospital in the Dietary Department for over 30 years, and retired in 1987. After retiring, Mrs. Street enjoyed many blessed moments with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. She was a member of the Lester Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as mother of the church from 2006 until her departure.
Survivors are:
Five Daughters: Charley Mae Thomas, Betty Jo Phillips, both of Harrisburg, PA, Martha Thomas, Gwendolyn Street, both of Swainsboro, GA, and Diane Fowler of Denver, CO
Two Sons: Robert Williams and Ervin Street, both of Ellenwood, GA
15-Grandchildren, 17-great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
