Lucille (Samples) Marion

On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, Mrs Lucille Denise Marion was called home to rest. Lucille was the daughter of the late Mr. Albert Samples and Mrs. Annie Bell Rolling Samples. She was born on October 26, 1952, in Washington County, Sandersville, Georgia.

Mrs. Marion, was educated in the Washington County, and the Jefferson County School Systems. She also continued her education at Swainsboro Technical College. Mrs. Marion was employed with the Emanuel County Medical Center for over 50 years. She received many awards, while working there, and retired in 2014.

Lucille enjoyed listening to gospel music, and watching gospel videos. Her family and friends were a very important part of her life. She left them with a lifetime of joyful memories.

Mrs. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. John E. Marion, Sr.; two sisters, Ada Mae Williams and Gloria Wiley;  two brothers, Freddie Samples and Tommy Lee Samples.

Mrs. Lucille Marion leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, John E. Marion, Jr., and Gary D. Marion both of Swainsboro, Georgia; one brother; Albert (Shirley) Samples, Jr. of Wadley, Georgia; two sister-in laws, Lessie B. Marion and JoAnn (Jeremiah) Foots, both of Swainsboro, Georgia; two brother-in-laws, Ardrich (Roma) Marion and James (Ruby) Marion, both of Swainsboro, Georgia, a host of nieces, nephews, orther relatives, and friends.
