Her Life and Legacy
Jesus gave us a jewel for a sister 74 years ago. Her heart was kind, her mind was full of love, and above all, she had the patience that most wish for. Everyone can rest assured that she has ever lasting life.
Levie Ann George was born in Stillmore, Georgia, on December 26, 1949, to Mr. Tobie George, Sr. and Mrs. Emma Lue Wynn George.
Levie attended public school in Metter, Georgia, and earned an Associates Degree from South Georgia College in Douglas, Georgia. She worked as a nurse for over 30 years at Baptist Village in Waycross, Georgia. She moved back home where she continued working as a caretaker for her mother for approximately 15 years.
Ms. George was preceded in death by: her parents; three brothers, Willie James George, Caulie George, and Tobie Sherman George, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Bettye George.
She was blessed to enjoy: her son, Patrick Bernard Fitzgerald George; three grandchildren, Jadon Mathew Tyrone George, Shandreka Brown (Antonio), and Rachea George; six great-grandchildren, ShiAmber Brown, Aleeah Brown, Sylvia Brown, Nigeria Palmer, London Palmer, and Queen Morgan George; two sisters, Patricia Ann Burse (Wallace) and Joanne G. Merritt-Hobbs (Anthony); two brothers, Walter George and Joe Mack George (Irene); sister-in-law, Levon George; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
