Leroy Brown

Mr. Leroy Brown was born January 3, 1936 to the late Dan and Nona Brown of Jefferson County. He left his earthly home on April 8, 2021 at the Emanuel County Nursing Home.

He attended the Jefferson County school system. After doing farm work for many years, he worked as a custodian and bus driver for the Emanuel County School System. He was a member of Forts Grove Baptist Church of Summertown, Ga.

He was married to Mildred Gunn Brown January 10, 1956. They raised six children of their own and helped raised many other children. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Mildred Brown, his parents Dan and Nona Brown, and his son Roylee Brown.

Mr. Leroy leaves to cherish his memories: five children-Mildred Phillips, James Brown, Sharon (Jean)  Charite, Charles Brown and Dennis (Yolanda) Brown. One sister Mrs. Mattie Owens of Bartow, Ga., a brother, Mr. Tommy Brown of Vero Beach, Fla. He also leaves 12 grandchildren, great grands and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.
