Mosley's Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Lelia "Foster" Worthen, 81, of Swainsboro, Georgia on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at the East GA Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 12:00 P.M., in the Swainsboro City Cemetery, assisted by Pastor Melvin Adams.
Mrs. Worthen, was a native of Johnson County, where she attended the Johnson County Schools. She moved to Emanuel County in 1959, got married, and started a family. She was a member of the Greater St. James Baptist Church. Mrs. Worthen will be missed by entire family and friends.
Survivors are:
Two Daughters: Gwendolyn Foster, and Mary Helen Worthen both of Swainsboro, Georgia
One Son: Walter Worthen, Jr. of Swainsboro, GA
Two Devoted Granddaughters: Tara Shanise Ricks of Swainsboro, GA, and Lakesha " Worthen" of Portsmouth, VA
Five Sisters: Juanita Barnett of Hinesville, GA, Mary Francis Brantley of Ludowici, GA, Mamie Billington of Richmond, GA, Beatrice Means of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Luetricia Parrish of Swainsboro, GA
Three Brothers: Louis Foster,Sr. of Hinesville, GA, Curtis Foster of Wrightsville, GA, and Billy Foster of Richmond, VA.
15-grandchildren, 33-great-grandchildren, 2-great-great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
