Larry Joe Lester

Mr. Larry Joe Lester entered into rest, on October 7, 2024, at the Emanuel County Medical Center-ER, during  his illness. He was a native of Swainsboro, Georgia, where he graduated from Swainsboro High School, and Swainsboro Technical College. After graduation, he  relocated to Augusta, Georgia. There he was employed at H.V.A.C., as a Technician. Years passed, Larry made Swainsboro his home, again. He was a member, and a devoted usher of the Greater St. James Baptist Church. Wherever you saw Larry, he greeted you with a smile and conversation.

Mr. Lester was preceded in death by his parents; Mrs. Lessie Lester,  Mr. Oscar Lester, brother; Earnest Cowart, and sister Ruthie Hayden.

He leaves his memories, three sons; Trimiko Lester of Savannah, Georgia, Larry Joe Lester, Jr. of Texas, and Torie Lester of Augusta, Georgia. Two daughters; Angelica Moore of Atlanta, Georgia, and  Latoya Lester of Hinesville, Georgia. Four sisters; Patricia Johnson (Harvester) of Radcliff, Kentucky, Imogene Kingery of Swainsboro, Georgia, Juanita Palmer (Willie), and Gail Southerland both of Atlanta, Georgia. Six grandchildren, nephews, nieces, many cousins, and associates.
