Joyce (Johnson) Artis

Mrs. Joyce J. Artis was born January 24, 1938, to the late Wesley and Cleo
Johnson. Mrs. Artis joined Smith Grove Church at an early age. Mrs. Artis
attended school in Swainsboro, GA. Mrs. Artis was joined in holy matrimony to
the late Herbert Artis, Sr. Mrs. Artis retired from Swainsboro Nursing Home.
Mrs. Artis was preceded by her parents, 2 sisters, 5 brothers, husband, and one son
Mr. Aaron Anderson, one daughter Miss Samantha Artis. She is survived by three
sons, Mr. Hubert Artis, San Diego, CA, Mr. Arthur Anderson and Mr. Gene
Anderson, Swainsboro, GA. She is also survived by seven daughters, Ms. Janet
Anderson, Newport News, VA, Ms. Teresa Artis, Mrs. Gloria (Budan) Murphy,
Swainsboro, GA, Ms. Carolyn Anderson, Soperton, GA, Ms. Linda Johnson,
Brooklyn, NY, Ms. Tammy Worthen and Ms. Tiffany Worthen, Swainsboro, GA,
two sisters, Jackie (Eddie) Worthen, Swainsboro, GA and Bettie Bass, Macon, GA.
One sister-in-law Gloria Artis, Swainsboro, GA .
She is survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and
nephews.
