Jimmy Johnson Obituary

Mr. Jimmy Johnson was born on March 10, 1950 to the late Jim Worthen, but raised by Mr. Tom Johnson and Mrs. Ola Mae Johnson, in Swainsboro, Geoergia.  He transitioned on

April 14, 2025, at Pruitt Health -Swainsboeo. Mr. Johnson attended school in Emanuel County. He was joined in holy matrimony to his devoted and loving wife, Mrs. Ethel Lou (Lockett) Johnson of Swainsboro, Georgia, for 56 years. He was a member of Victory Temple Church and was self-employed as a brick mason, and also did some construction work. His many hobbies included fishing, mechanical work, and lawn care. He loved sharing life experiences with people and enjoyed listening as well. He especially loved telling jokes and making people laugh.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, 15 brothers, and 2 sisters. He leaves  his loving memories to his loved ones: one brother, Danny Worthen; children, Shirley Newkirk and George Newkirk of Rentz, Georgia, Nate and Jacqueline Lockett of Conyers, Georgia, Reginald and Zebradell Willis of Dublin, Georgia; Curtis and Diane Willis of Rockledge, Suprena Gardner; 46 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; special nephew, Luwaski McCloud, Sr.;

special niece, Sharon Boston; many other relatives and frie46 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; special nephew, Luwaski McCloud, Sr.; special niece, Sharon Boston; many other relatives and friends.
