James Albert Mincey of Swainsboro, Georgia, peacefully departed this life on May 25, 2026. He was born to the late Albert James and Viola Mincey of Garfield, Georgia, on December 11, 1955.
He graduated from Swainsboro High School in Swainsboro, Georgia, and attended Fort Valley State College in Fort Valley, Georgia. Later in his life, he married Elizebeth Lane of Swainsboro, Georgia. James loved his family and always made time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren memorable and fun. He loved being outdoors, and no matter what he was doing, simply being outside brought him joy. He had a deep passion for sports, especially football, which was always his favorite.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Albert James and Viola Mincey; wife, Elizebeth Lane Mincey; sisters, Brenda Mincey and Christine Mincey; and granddaughter, Mya Lane
He leaves a lifetime of memories to his: three children, a daughter, Crystal (Curtis) Lambry of Lumber City, Georgia; two sons, Ronald (Charlotte) Williams of Swainsboro, Georgia, and Percy (Juliet) Lane of Ohio; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Brown of Wadley, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
