James Cecil McClendon

 Mr. James C. McClendon was born March 9, 1951 to the late Cecil McClendon and Lousie "Dixon" McClendon. He took his final rest on Saturday May 25, 2024, due to an extended illness. James built a life for himself, as a Master Carpenter by trade for the greater part of his adult life. He served his city and surrounding counties with his skill in carpentry. During his down seasons, he would also do long and short haul trucking. He was truly a man about his business, that was known to rise early to conquer the day.

James C. McClendon is preceded in death by siblings;  James L. Jones, Eloise "McClendon" Rountree, Rosie Lee Brown, and Ned Dixon, Sr.

He leaves to cherish loving memories; wife, Marilyn McClendon, daughters; Shenita Harswell Powell, Lashonda McClendon, LaShonna(Ulises) Barbosa, Brandy Young, Lakeshia (Alonzo) White, Al Brantley, and Shawn (Sonja) Brantley. Siblings; Rosa "McClendon" Newsom, Nathaniel (Nikki) McClendon, Jerome (Oleta) Boatwright, and Theodis Jones. As well as a host of grandchldren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
