Howard Mitchell Gillis

Mr. Howard Mitchell Gillis was born on October 12, 1952, to Mr. Neal and Inez Gillis. He was born  in Soperton, Georgia and resided in Swainsboro, Georgia. On February 28, 2021 he peacefully transitioned from this life. 

Mr. Gillis worked with the City of Swainsboro at the water department, brick mason, lawn care and many other trades. 

Howard is survived by: his five children Tracy Smith (Gantry) of Snellville, Georgia, Stacy Rice (Altony) of Hoschton, Georgia, Olivia Martin of Randolph, New Jersey, Kathy Gillis of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Randy Drummer of Swainsboro, Georgia; One granddaughter Morgann Elizabeth Rice : Six  Brothers: Billy Gillis, Verlon Gillis, Vernon Gillis, Alton Gillis of Swainsboro, Georgia and Bobby Ray Gillis of California; one sister Karen Gillis Young of Swainsboro, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
