Gladys Denise Lockett was born on January 9, 1963, in Swainsboro, Georgia, to Julia Ruthe Bell "Webb" Lockett and the late Thomas Lee Lockett, Jr.She joined Smith Grove Baptist at a young age. She later married to the late Pastor Dewayne Milton Rollins, and joined Hope Community Baptist Church.
First lady Gladys Denise Rollins gained her wings, on March 17, 2026, at Well Star MCG Health Center, after fighting a long battle with illness.
She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Lee Lockett, Jr. and her loving husband,; Dewayne Milton Rollins.
She leaves to cherish her memories, loving mother; Julia Bell George, one daughter; Katrena Hughes, two sons; Keon Hughes , and Rodney Parrish (Lakeisha) all of Swainsboro, Georgia. One stepdaughter; Tanaychea Groer Mosley (Bobby) of Jacksonville, Florida, Three sisters; Regina Stokes, Carolyn Lockett both of Swainsboro, Georgia, and Angie Danford (Clarence) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Two Brothers; Carl Lockett of Macon, Georgia, and Thomas Lee Lockett, III, of Birmingham, Alabama. Ten grandchildren, two great grand children, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
