Garnell Shedrick

Mr. Garnell Shedrick, was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isador  Shedrick &  Lodis  Mae  "McNear"  Shedrick. Garnell passed away on Monday July 5th 2021.

He was a native of Emanuel County, and a graduate of the Emanuel County Schools.  Garnell was born on June 29,1960. He was a retired veteran, where he served 23 years in the Army National Guard, with a rank of  E-4. He also worked at Wyan Battle Lumber Co. in Wadley,  Georgia for 18 years. He worked for the city of Swainsboro (Emanuel Rec Dept) for 5 years.

Garnell is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Cynthia Shedrick of Swainsboro, Georgia. Three daughters Shanika  (Lynn) Benjamin,  Sanetra Smith,  Vanessa Smith all  of  Swainsboro,  Georgia.  Two sons Garnell  (Tharesa)  Smith  of  Swainsboro,  Georgia, and  Brian Coney  of  Wisconsin. Three sisters  Geraldine Foreman  of  Twin City, Georgia,  Eloise Doyle of Augusta, Georgia, and . Betty (Mitchell) Archie  of Atlanta Georgia. Two  brothers;  Hubert (Florene)  McNear  of Swainsboro Georgia,  Grover James Shedrick  of  New Jersey.

  Garnell also, had a second special family,  Earl, Colen,  Wendell Turner,  Robie Mosely,  and Margaret Williams, 13 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

To the first man that we ever loved Nikki, Netra, Nessa, Man,thank you for always being there for us, teaching us how to love and trust. You was there to hold our hands and give us more love than anyone will ever understand. We may not have told you everyday, but you were the most amazing man to pass our way. We were so lucky to have you as our father. You will always  be in our hearts, and on our minds.
