Chairman Deacon Elmo Mcquater “Mightymo”
May 3, 1946 - April 24, 2021

Elmo Mcquater was born May 3, 1946 in Emanuel County, Georgia to the late Beulah Williams
and John Henry Mcquater. He departed this life on the morning of April 24, 2021.

Elmo was amember of Cooper Baptist Church in Twin City,GA where he was ordained as Deacon on
December 11, 1994 and later on May 25, 2014 he became Chairman Deacon. Elmo really
loved his church home and was devoted to the upkeep of the church yards until he wasn’t able.

Deacon Elmo was a man that truly loved God and was a loving and devoted Chairman
Deacon,father,grandfather,uncle,and friend.

Elmo was preceded in death by: his wife of 28 years 
Ida Lee Mcquater, his parents Beulah Williams and John Henry Mcquater; two sisters Effie
Mcquater and Mary Mcquater Johnson; two brothers John Henry Mcquater Jr. and Donnie
Mcquater

. To cherish his memories he is survived by: two daughters, Lisa Mquater of
Swainsboro,Ga and Angela Rebecca George of Twin City,Ga and one son, Ronald George
Jr.(Tiffany) of Statesboro, Ga; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 7 sister-in-laws, and a
host of nieces,nephews,cousins, and friends.
