Ella Redolia Greene

Ella Redolia Greene, 87, of Augusta, GA, passed away on April 17, 2026, at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. Born April 1, 1939, in Swainsboro, GA, she was the daughter of the late Bonnie and Willie Mae Williams. Ms. Greene worked for the Richmond County Board of Education from March 1979 until her retirement in May 2008, dedicating nearly three decades to supporting local students and schools. She was a faithful member of St Paul- Noah's Ark A.M.E Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Harry Williams, her brother-in-law John Reese, her son Quinton Mincey-Greene, and her daughter Sarah Rosario-Diaz.

She is survived by five children: Phyllis Ann Brown of North Chesterfield, VA, Meredith (Terry) Wade of Chester, VA; Sonya Greene of Fayetteville, NC; Melton Greene of Augusta, GA; and Blaine Greene (Tracy) of Williamsburg, VA. Two Sisters, Annette Reese, Swainsboro, GA, and Pecolia Williams Summertown, GA, four brothers, Fred Williams Summertown, GA, Jerry (Rose) Williams, Charles (Ruby) Williams, Swainsboro, GA, and Juroil (Ernestene) Williams, Summertown, GA,  and sister-in-law Gwendolyn Williams Summertown, GA, ten grandchildren, eleven great‑grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Friends and loved ones may celebrate Ms. Greene's life at a wake on Wednesday from 4–6 p.m. at Mosley Funeral Home, 342 N. Coleman St., Swainsboro, GA. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul–Noah's Ark AME Church, 33 Humpback St., Summertown, GA 30401. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to her church.
