On Saturday afternoon, June 7, 2025 @ Emanuel County Medical Nursing Home our beloved sister, grandmother, auntie, cousin and friend departed this life at 76 years old. Elizabeth C. Williams-Washington (aka Honeybunch) was born in Millen, Ga on July 8, 1948. The family later moved to Emanuel County, where she attended public school in Swainsboro, Georgia. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Lugenia Davis-Williams and John Henry Williams aka Johnnie Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charlie James Washington aka C. J., her only daughter Rosezella Washington, her brother Willie Lee Williams (and her ½ brothers Johnny Williams Jr. and Willie Lee Williams . At an early age Elizabeth developed strong roots in the Word of God as she was reared in church by her mother. After the family transitioned from Millen to Swainsboro their family joined the church family of Trinity Baptist Church. Elizabeth’s favorite biblical reading where from the books of Psalms and Proverbs. She often times found comfort in doing word search puzzles as well as watching Westerns and Soap Operas on TV. Elizabeth had such a deep love for her family and never held hatred in her heart for anyone. There was always three things she would often repeat in her conversations with others. 1. I’d rather put a smile on your face than to cause you to frown. 2. No one ever put a knife to my throat or a gun to my chest making me do the things I do. 3. I got myself into this mess and I have to get myself out of whatever mess I’m in, with the help of the Lord. Elizabeth will be deeply missed, but she leaves cherished memories with her beloved brother Ralph Coleman Williams; her grandchildren Kiva R. Washington and Artavious Davis aka Tay Tay; great grandchildren Keorra Boatwright, Malchai Washington, Jeremiah Washington, and Rodney Smith; very special niece Aretha R. Travet-Figueroa (Victor); very special sister in laws Irene Kelly-Williams, Perry Heath-Williams, Linda Green-Williams, Daisy Murphy, Shelia Williams; (aka sister’s in laws) Carrie Travet, Stella Buckner and her special friends Faye Allen, Pastor Nathan & Mabel Clark, Mary Gadson, and Starski Johnson.
