Eddie Lee Drisdom, 89 was born August 11, 1935, in Blun, Georgia (Emanuel County), to Madella Drisdom and Charlie Scott, of Swainsboro, Georgia. He slipped away peacefully, December 19, 2024, at 3:30 a.m., in Oxley Park Health & Rehabilitation, in Lyons, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma White Drisdom, his mother, Madella Drisdom Scott, his father, Charlie Scott, his brother Benjamin Franklin Scott, a special first cousin, Bonnie Norwood, and his fur baby, Mindy.
Eddie leaves to mourn his passing two daughters, Evangelist Sandra Dionne Drisdom (Deacon Johnny Lee) Dawson, of Swainsboro, Georgia, Lashonda Moore Evans of Macon, Georgia, two
sons, Eldridge (Angela) White, of Augusta, Georgia, and Richard "Ricky" White, of Tallahassee, Florida, a brother and sister Alphonso Scott, and Cathrine Scott Garvin, both of Riviera Beach, Florida. Four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. He also leaves a special niece, Michele Scott Days, Port Saint Lucie, Florida, a special cousin, Syvetta Drisdom Young of Swainsboro, Georgia, two sisters-in-law: Helen Collins of Vidalia, Georgia, and Ethera Neal of Fort Myers, Florida, and other relatives.
He served in the U. S. Army for 7 years as a Military Policeman, in the U.S.A and abroad in Korea and Germany. He worked at Warner Robins Air Force Base as Automotive Instructor for 30 years and retired in 1990 at the age of 55. Eddie enjoyed traveling, sports, and planting and growing vegetables and fruits. He lived in Macon, Georgia over 40 years, where he joined Macedonia Baptist Church serving, faithfully, until his health declined.
