Mosley's Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Dewayne Alan Foots, 42, of Swainsboro, GA on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Emanuel Medical Center, following an brief illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at the Swainsboro City Auditorium with Pastor Nick Robertson officiating, assisted by Reverend Leroy Jordan.
Interment: Swainsboro City Cemetery

Dewayne was a loving and devoted husband and father with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed various hobbies such as traveling, fishing, barbequing, attending sporting events, landscaping, and restoring old vehicles. He also worked as a machine operator for Norfolk Southern Railroad for many years.
Dewayne attended Swainsboro High School, where he was known for his outstanding athleticism in track and field, football, and his favorite, basketball. He was one of the star athletes of his basketball team who helped the team to win the 1996 State of Georgia Basketball Championship. Dewayne’s outstanding athletic ability provided him the opportunity to play basketball with the late Kobe Bryant and Tracy McGrady during summer camps. Following his senior year, he attended Itwamaba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi.
