Corporal Dennis Mason entered into eternal peace on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Memorial Health Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. Dennis was born on April 1, 1962, in Swainsboro, Georgia, to the late Mr. Jim Worthen and Ms. Sarah Mason Shivers.
Corporal Mason attended school in Emanuel County. He was married to Mrs. Freda Mason. Dennis was employed by CLT Trucking. After many years of service, he retired from the Swainsboro Police Department and the Georgia National Guard Army. He enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Mason was preceded in death by: his parents; siblings, Jimmy Worthen, Terry Worthen, George Worthen, Marvin Worthen, Tommy Worthen, Ella Worthen, Leroy Worthen, Helen “Toby” Bell, Alma Parker, and Albert Worthen.
He leaves to cherish his many loving memories: his wife, Mrs. Freda Mason; two daughters, Kirby McLeod and April Mason; one son, Dennis Mason, Jr.; step-daughter, Catrina McLeod-Eason; 13 grandchildren, Raphael McLeod, Jaqueal Simmons, Kia McLeod, Derrick McLeod, Daysha McLeod, CeLaya McLeod, Ricky Mason, Ricardo Leon, Morriah Leon, Gerald Mosley, III, Akeen Mason, Akio Mason, and Derald Mosley; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Lucy Mason Kendrick (Willie), Tracy L. Shivers, Stacy D. Shivers, Ben Mason, Bernard Foreman, Danny “Debo” Worthen, and Jimmy Seabourough; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
