Christine “Granny” Howell was born to the late Joseph Brown, Sr. and Mary Brown, of Twin City, Georgia, and attended Rountree Grove Baptist Church of Twin City. Mrs. Howell, was a graduate in the Emanuel County Schools system of Swainsboro, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty (60) years, Mr. Charles Howell, Jr., son; Charles Howell III, her parents, one brother; Jesse Brown, and sister-in-law Debbie Brown.
Mrs. Howell is survived by her children; Angela Williams, Dorene Worthen, Christopher Howell, Brenda (Raymond) Scott; grandchildren; Keith Williams, Matthew Bright, III, Mattilyn (Frank) Ward, Katriana Williams, LaQuan Williams, Tamira Rogers, Ra'Shawn Richards, Dontae Richards, Angelica Bright, LeAnna Howell, and Darius Shinhoster; siblings, Betty Robinson, James (Debra) Brown, Raymond (Carolyn) Brown, Earl (Shirley) Brown, Alfonzo Brown, and Joseph Brown, DeWayne (Kesha) Brown, and Tonya (Phillip) Deans. In laws, Willie Ruth (Charles) Jones, Tommie (Samuel) Hickson, Dorothy (Rev. Johnnie) Graves; nineteen great-grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and two special friends; Irish (Teen) Target, and Deacon Paul Jordan.
