Billy (Weaver) Silas was born on September 11, 1960 in Twin City Georgia to the late Ms. Lillie Mae Silas and the late Mr. Nodie Weaver. After a brief illness, on Friday April 23, 2021 he slipped away to answer a call that was whispered to him by our Father in Heaven. Billy fell asleep in the “Arms of Jesus,” Our Lord and Savior, without hesitation
Billy was educated in the Emanuel County School System. He served in the armed forces for a few years. After his family moved from Twin City at a young age he resided in Swainsboro Georgia, He worked at The Handy house for over thirty years until his illness.
Billy is now with his mother Lillie Mae Silas, His father Nodie Weaver, His sister Mary Louise Willis-Thomas His Brother Mack (Rodger) Willis, His uncle Alvin Brooks and his Grandmother Dollie Silas, all welcoming him with loving arms.
Billy leaves to cherish his memories a special friend Liza Kirkland, three sisters, Mary Ann Heyward (William), of Augusta Georgia, Patricia Byrd of Swainsboro Georgia and Shelly Rucker of North Augusta, South Carolina. Five Brothers, Melvin Willis of Swainsboro Georgia, Dennis Weaver (Margret) of Twin City Georgia, Barnard Weaver (Jerri Ann) of Statesboro Georgia, Otis Weaver of Atlanta Georgia and Gerald Weaver of Dublin Georgia. Four Aunts, Emma Mays, Estella Kirkland, Lucille Brooks of Swainsboro Georgia and Minnie Hall of Columbia South Carolina. Eight nieces; Antionette Fenner (Nathaniel), Shae Willis, Crystal Simmons, Shanteia Colman, Angel Tarver, Deja Willis, Shaporia Willis and Tiesha Mitchell. Three nephews; Robert Johnson, Antquion Silas Daniel Rucker and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
