On the morning of Sunday, September 5, 2021, Mr. Billy Sidney Gillis left his beloved family and answered God’s call. Mr. Billy Sidney Gillis was born October 5,1946 to Mr. Neal and Mrs. Inez Gillis. He was born in Soperton, Georgia, and resided in Swainsboro, Georgia. On September 5, 2021, he peacefully transitioned from this life.

Billy was preceded in death by parents; Mr. Neal and Mrs. Inez Gillis; his daughter; Cathy Gillis-Holmes; grandson Jamal Goings; brothers Terry Gillis and Howard Gillis. Mr. Gillis worked as a farmer.
