Mosley's Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Artis Williams, 81, of Swainsboro, GA on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. He was born December 29, 1939 to the late Mr. Temmer & Clara Williams.
Mr. Artis lived and worked in Swainsboro, GA, where he was born and raised. He was an auto repairman who loved working on vehicles, a farmer, and also worked with turpentine. Mr. Artis was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Lexsy, GA.
He is survived by a loving wife, Mrs. Alveta Williams of Swainsboro, GA; five daughters, Carolyn (Curtis) Williams of Lexsy, GA, Rosie Williams of Swainsboro, GA, Aletha (Roy) Carter of Swainsboro, GA, Annette (Walter) Speed of Dublin, GA, and Katherine (Keith) Barnwell of Atlanta, GA, five sons, Leon (Linda) Wilcher of Swainsboro, GA, Willie (Sandra) Williams of Statesboro, GA, Gregory Williams of Swainsboro, GA, Jeffery (Tameka) Williams of Dublin, GA; and Tony (Elaine) Lewis of Columbia, S.C. Two brothers, Elder Jerry Williams of Swainsboro, GA and Curtis (Carolyn) Williams of Lexsy, GA; four sisters, Mildred Smith of Swainsboro, GA, Wanda (Willie) Freeman of Swainsboro, GA, Rosie Williams of Hinesville, GA and Mattie Mae Williams of Lexsy, GA; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
