Alvin Lloyd Obituary

Alvin B. Lloyd affectionally known as (Al) entered into eternal rest on Thursday September 19, 2024 at his residence following an extended illness.

Al was born on July 9, 1955 in Swainsboro Ga. to the late Tealang Lloyd Sr and the late Iomia Harmon Lloyd

Al was educated in the Emanuel County School System and was a 1973 Graduate. He was a devoted member of The Greater Saint James Missionary Baptist Church. Alvin worked many years beside his father at their family business (T. Lloyd Scrap and Metal). To know him, was to love him. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. He was full of wit and vivacity. Al prided himself on being creative with his style of fashion. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, watching television, listening to gospel music, learning to play musical instruments and most of all collecting objects in which he could find a use for almost anything.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, his Step Mother Elmer S. Lloyd, one son Marcus Alan Vinson, siblings, Tealang Lloyd Jr, Debra Lloyd, Vernita J. Lloyd and a Special uncle Charlie W. Harmon.                                                                                                                                                           

He leaves to cherish his loving memories seven daughters Meyoshi Worthen, Erica Worthen, Kenosha Brown (Travis) all of Swainsboro Ga, Latonya Jackson (Daryl) of Warner Robins, Ga, LaShonda Edmond (David) of Twin City Ga, Melissa Broadwater of Hephzibah Ga and LaTreasa Vinson of Evans Ga. One son Eric Worthen of Swainsboro Ga. Four brothers Bobby Lloyd and Calvin Lloyd both of Swainsboro, Tommy Lloyd of Augusta Ga and Willie James Lloyd of Atlanta Ga.
Five sisters, Myra Gooden (James) and   Cheryl  L. Boston (Carlton) of Atlanta Ga, Vernell D. King , Delane L. Washington and Wyomi L. Brown all of Swainsboro , Ga.  One uncle, Eddie Harmon (Ola Mae) of Chicago, IL, One aunt, Doris Harmon Davis (Joe) of Swainsboro, Ga.Twenty six grandchildren, seventeen great- grandchildren   and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
