Mosley's Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Alexander J. "Smiley" Shipman, 63, of Adrian, GA on Monday, December 14, 2020, at the Scott Health and Rehab Center.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, Decermber 19, 2020 at, 1:00 P.M. in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
Mr. Shipman, was a native of Norristown, and later moved to Swainsboro,Georgia, where he attended school. Smiley, a believer of Christ, was a very strong and hard-working man who took pride in everything he did. Gifted with mechanical and carpentry skills, he enjoyed repairing vehicles, and building things with his hands. Most people who loved Smiley, knew him to be a wonderful cook, a bit of a clean freak, and a connoisseur of western movies.
Survivors are:
Two Daughters: Deanna (Lucious) Brown of Swainsboro, Georgia and Valoria (Lawrence) Armstrong of Chattanooga, Tennessee
Two Sons: Alexander (Wyketa) Shipman of Huntsville, Alabama and Anthony Bostic of Charleston, South Carolina
One Brother: Terry Shipman of Dublin Georgia
Four Loving Grandchildren (Madison and Treyson Shipman of Huntsville, Alabama; Christon and Kristian Jenkins of Swainsboro, Georgia) along with a host of other relatives and friends.
